Construction Begins

Hey All,

When you are waiting for something, time always seems to go by so slow. But good things come to those that wait.

This is what my yard looked like when I left for work this morning.

Tonight I came home to find the foundation dug and the crew installing the re bar.

Now things will be moving right along.

Tomorrow they should be pouring the concrete. Wednesday they will start laying the block.

Once the house is done, I can begin planning the construction of the Cane Bay Photography photo studio.

Transform by Zack

Zack Arias is a photographer that I have been following for a long time. I find his style interesting and has provided hours of trying to work with.
If you do nothing else, you need to go to Zack’s website and watch his video.

When Zack talked about the winter funk, I could seeing you talking about me. I pull out my camera to try something (anything), but the vision just does not seem to work.
This is truly talking from the heart. It was dark but the message was so good.

Pocket Wizard Does it Again

WOW. Now that is a way to start a post. I just got done looking at the review of the NEW Pocket Wizards the David put up today. (ps David Hobby of Strobist fame)

Pocket Wizard has brought to market a new wireless iTTL capable system. Yes, RadioPoppers came out with a system first the does wireless iTTL. However, PW has found a cleaner way to make it all work so well together.

Once the Nikon units come on the market, I will be getting a few for my camera bag.

Self Portrait

Hey all

I know that I have been slow again. No good excuses. Just Life OBE.

I was playing around with light this week. This was an attempt to get a shot in a dark room. I had several different light sources all at different colors that made this more complicated.

Had to drag the shutter to keep the area behind me from going black. The two monitors throw of a blue light that was trying to blow out before I got the back ground in. Far right of camera was a halogen lamp that placed a strong orange cast over everything.
