Photography Network TV

Hey all

We have a new network coming just for us!

There is a promising development at the intersection of photography and video content, the development-in-progress Photography Network TV. A beta launch is coming in late November with a full launch near PMA 2009. In the words of one of the co-founders, "think Food Network but for photography".

When you go to the site, as of now they only have a couple of videos. The videos give a basic idea of what they are trying to do, but it looks promising.

Blog Feeds

Hey all

I have updated the RSS foeed for the blog. I have begun using FeedBurner.

During the change over, the feeds should automatically switch over. But you can never be sure how each feed reader will deal with the change. I would recommend re-subscribing to the blog to get the correct feed.

Google reader is now my choice of readers. I use many different computers and needed something that would allow me to move a lot. However I noticed that sometimes the photos where not always showing up correctly. I currently have about 200 photo related feeds and find that about a dozen or so have this same problem. After a little research I found that other were able to fix this problem by going to FeedBurner.

I will get some more photographs up soon.

Charleston Beach Weddings

Are you looking to have a beautiful wedding on a Charleston beach? Many people come to the Low Country just for the wonderful wedding on the beach.

But before you set up the wedding, you need to consider a few things. Do you want photographs to remember this once in a lifetime memory? Do you want an officiant?

If you decide to go to the Isle of Palms, you just may not get married. At least not on the beach. The Isle of Palms has decided that is consider "doing business".

Perhaps your family is looking forward to a family vacation on the beach? Many visitors have a photographer come in to record the fun times you have had. Once again, this can not be done on the Isle of Palms.

This was taken directly off of the Isle of Palms website.
http://www.iop.net/FAQs.aspx

"No business can be performed on the beach; therefore, professional photography and catering on the beach are prohibited. If you are having the event catered at a location off the beach, your catering company must have an Isle of Palms business license and adhere to the islands' hospitality tax ordinance."

If you are caught the fine is $1,100.

Is this how you want to remember you wedding day?

Until the IOP makes some changes, then I believe the we all should boycott the Isle of Palms.
