Sunday Crash

Was a quiet Sunday. Sitting in the living room and heard a bang. Went outside, but did not hear anything else. Two (2) minutes later the fire department arrive.

The accident was about two hundred (200) yards down the road. Took place on Waters Landing Road across from Waters Landing Elementary school.

Both drivers were shaken pretty bad. The driver of the white car is sitting behind the car with medics looking at him. The driver of the black Blazer was still in his vehicle when the fire department came on scene.

I do not know exactly what happened. However it looked like the white car pulled out the school and was t-boned by the Blazer. Just my opinion from where the cars came to a rest.

Notice the rear wheel is angled out.

Crosswalk

Do cars park in crosswalks? This one does!

Perhaps I simply took a picture of the car driving thru? NO
You can look at look at crosswalk sign and see that the pedestrians have the right-of-way. That and the people walking behind the car to get across.

No wonder so many people get hit in this town!

The HIT!

Today I was getting ready to take a picture in front of the Ronald Reagan building. I heard a bang and turned to see this man on the road. He was crossing the road between crosswalks and was hit by the SUV seen behind him.

There was 5 security officers from the building in sight, but NONE moved forward to assist. I ran out to the street to stop traffic to prevent him from getting run over a second time. The security guards did come out to the road until the fire department arrived. AND they had the nerve to say that it looked bad that I had a camera hanging from around my neck. DUMB BASTARDS!

Pay Protesting

For the last year we have had a new building come out of a parking lot. The building is now almost done. For the last 8 months they have had protesters on the sidewalk. They arrive around 10am and leave by 2pm. Just long enough for the lunch crowds to see them.

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters (MARCC) hire people to due protests for them. If you are around just before they leave, you will see to protest coordinator hand out a few bucks to each. What a scam.

In the protests the claim that company X does not pay area standard wages. However this will change depending on who is paying for the protest and what street they are on. The truth is they protest any positions that are not a UNION job.

According to the MARCC website;
"The wages and benefits you receive as a member of a MARCC-affiliated local are among the highest in the area."

http://www.weworkunion.org/english/earn/index.html

As I got back from luch today, I decided to take a picture to show my wife. HOWEVER, notice the person with the video camera. As I got to my building he decided to start filming me. I figure if he wishes to film me them I should get detail pictures of them. I took close-ups of each and everyone of them.

When I was taking the pictures from 20 feet away, the protesters did not notice me (much). When I moved up in front of Mr. Video Dud, notice how many hide their face If you are going to do something in public, BE PROUD. This only further validated that most were only on site for the money.

First picture just before they brought out the camera.

The video camera is out. See the guy in the middle with the straw hat.

I decided to move up to camera dud. Might as well make it easy for him.

Oh No, you can't see my face. (ps - already got clear picture earlier)

Protesters of bank robbers? They are MARCC. What is the difference.

And I always thought that they wanted to be shown. But look at the guy in the black ball cap. How does that get people on your side?

Of coarse some always like to get their picture taken, no matter what.

Till Next time!

Bus Crash

This afternoon there bas a crash between a KIA and a Montgomery County Public Schools bus. The damage to the school bus prevented the students from getting out the front. In the second picture you can see the emergency exit door open.

The Moral of the Story....

The teacher gave her fifth grade class an assignment: Get their parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it.

The next day the kids came back and one-by-one began to tell their stories. "Johnny, do you have a story to share?", the teacher asked.

"Yes ma'am," Johnny replied. "My daddy told me a story about my Aunt Nancy. She was a pilot in Desert Storm and her plane got hit. "She had to bail out over enemy territory and all she had was a small flask of whiskey, a pistol, and a survival knife. "She drank the whiskey on the way down so it wouldn't break, and then her parachute landed right in the middle of 20 enemy troops. She shot 15 of them with the gun until she ran out of bullets, killed 4 more with the knife till the blade broke, and then she killed the last Iraqi with her bare hands."

"Good heavens," cried the horrified teacher. "What kind of moral did your daddy give you from this horrible story?"

"Stay the hell away from Aunt Nancy when she's drinking."!!

These days you see more of the homeless sleeping on the streets. The local homeless shelter has been closed down. Now they sleep where they can.
